Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - Controls/Automation Engineer InternAt Allegion, we help keep the people you know and love safe and secure where they live, work and visit. Develop and improve processes for high volume production. The engineer must possess strong interpersonal skills and will collaborate with cross functional groups from assembly operators to a wide variety of technicians and engineers. Additional duties include applications of lean principles to reduce cycle times and waste, develop and implement standard work, partner with maintenance and operations to develop and improve scheduled and autonomous machine maintenance, and develop and implement quality improvement and safety enhancement projects.
What You Will Do: Plans, designs and constructs manufacturing facilities and related structures | Determines facility specifications, including analysis and evaluation of location, material resources and structural design.Resolves technical problems and recommends production improvements.What You Will Need To Succeed: Pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, architectural, construction, or a related field.Completed junior year or above by the start of the internship.Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, leadership on school or work projects, etc.Passion for creating relationships.Competitive spirit and desire to be a part of a winning team.High internal motivation, creativity, and forward-thinking ability.Excellent communication skills; in particular must be comfortable creating and delivering recommendations and information to a group.Strong organizational skills and technologically savvy.Ability to stay organized and detail oriented.Minimum 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale.Why Work for Us? Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
