In 1961 Leonard Cheshire set up Ireland's first Cheshire service in Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow, supported by volunteers, and since then further services have developed around the country.
Initially, these services were supported by local voluntary management committees who oversaw the running of the services and who fundraised locally.
Over time, the Health and Social Care environment in Ireland changed with an increased requirement for governance and oversight.

What you will doYou will provide administrative support to management, employees, and service users.
You will handle all office ad-hoc duties such as answering phones, organising files, drafting letters and scheduling meetings.
You will maintain databases, audits, and prepare reports as required.
You will be responsible for payroll while maintaining management systems.
You will be required to establish and maintain relationships with the people we support that are based on respect and equality and that promote their rights and independence.
It is critical that when undertaking your work that you do so in a manner that is consistent with Cheshire Ireland's values, operating ethos, and standards.
