We provide a wide range of person centred services including residential, respite and day services to almost 400 children and adults with an intellectual disability in the south Dublin area. Care Assistant - Night Duty 39 hours per week, Specified Purpose Contract We are seeking applications from energetic and enthusiastic individuals to join our night team as Care Assistant to provide care and support through a person-centred approach.
Driving required and willingness to drive during the night, supporting internal and external people across different locations.
Willingness to work in all houses across the service including Community Services and to assist with hospital transfers.
Essential criteria: A FETAC/QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care, Healthcare or relevant qualification Full driver's licence required Must be willing to drive as part of the role, as required, to community locations, and may be required to drive persons we support, in a company vehicle.
Desirable criteria : Minimum 1 years' experience supporting people with an intellectual disabilit Knowledge of HIQA regulations and HSE policies Moving on from Congregated Settings and New Directions Commitment to a person-centred approach, community inclusion and the individual needs of the person Willingness to work as part of a team, under the supervision of the night managers.
Experience of working and communicating with families Excellent communication skills, observation, reporting and recording.
Night duty hours. Flexibility regarding working hours required.
7 night rotating roster.
