Catering Assistant - Beaumont Lodge (Full Time)

We would like to invite applications for the position of Catering Assistant in Beaumont Lodge, Transitional Care unit.
Purpose of Position To ensure food and beverages are prepared and served to the standard directed and in line with the HACCP system in place in the nursing home.
Help to maintain a safe environment for staff, residents and visitors through awareness of health and safety policies, by attending training required (health and safety training as well as appropriate training programmes to enhance current knowledge) and use initiative in addressing any issues that arise, particularly those relating to hygiene and health and safety.
Salary: €13.00 per hour.
Contract: Full-Time, Monday - Sunday Roles and Responsibilities To carry out any duties associated with preparing and serving meals, cleaning up after meals and maintaining the dining environment have been at the standard required by Bartra Healthcare.
Ensure that food is presented in an appealing way.
Seek to understand resident's/ patients' needs and requirements.
Assist in the serving of meals and drinks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs.
Role Requirements Personal Hygiene and appearance : To be familiar with the Food Hygiene Manual and follow the standards stipulated.
Wear enclosed, non-slip, clean black protective shoes & clean clothing at all times while on duty.
Wear minimal make-up and fragrance.
Long hair to be tied back or worn up and covered with hair net.
No jewelry with the exception of a plain (no stones) wedding band.
