The Simplex Department in Stryker Limerick is a Center of Excellence for Bone Cement; Bone Substitute and Biomaterials products.
Simplex is the sole global supplier of these critical products used in both Joint Replacement & Craniomaxillofacial surgical applications.The Simplex Laboratories provide crucial testing on these products across raw materials; intermediate; and finished goods; leading to their QC release as saleable goods to the market.
The Team spans multiple laboratories with varying functions, disciplines and responsibility including: Powder & Liquid Bone Cement Labs; Periapatitie Coating Lab; Biomaterials Lab; Organic Residuals Lab; and Microbiology Lab.
The successful candidate will gain wide ranging experience with exposure to a multitude of laboratory testing and related activities, with mentorship from experienced and dynamic laboratory analysts/chemists/microbiologists.

Crucial support of the day-to-day activities across the Simplex Laboratories teams.
Including but not limited to: Powder & Liquid Bone Cement Labs; Periapatitie Coating Lab; Biomaterials Lab; and Microbiology Lab.
Duties, Including but not limited to:- Co-ordination of Raw Materials Sampling;- Ordering of Laboratory Chemicals & Consumables;- Microbiology support of personnel/environmental monitoring in the aseptic liquid filling process; - Preparation of Settle Plates for monitoring;- Management of Retain samples;- Water Point sampling for micro testing;- Validation/Project Support (where required);- And a variety of other tasks.

Studying a degree in Chemistry/Biology/Biomedical or related discipline desired.
Knowledge of basic Chemistry/Microbiology preferred.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)/Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) beneficial.Travel Percentage: None
