COMPLIANCE OFFICER My client, one of Ireland's leading receivables management businesses, is looking to recruit an experienced compliance officer to join their compliance team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be responsible for providing oversight covering areas such as AML/CFT, Complaint Management, Fitness and Probity / MCC, CPC/CCMA/SME Regulations, CBI Guidance, and regulatory interaction. This role is a full-time, permanent position based in Galway on a hybrid basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES Review of ML/TF customer due diligence documentation and provision of guidance to operational staff.Responding to compliance-related queries from the business operations teams.Preparation and management of responses to formal complaints, working closely with the Head of Compliance.Preparation and management of responses to data subject access requests, working closely with the Data Protection Officer.Together with the Compliance Team, review and develop the compliance and regulatory framework that underpins the business.Help to maintain and enhance an internal risk-based compliance monitoring programme.Periodic audits of the business compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with all new legislation, codes of practice, and CBI guidance.Conduct appropriate oversight and audit on the operational teams (1st line of defence) of 3rd party servicers to ensure the controls and processes designed within the systems are sufficient and are being followed.This will entail reviewing cases and supplemental loan documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.Preparing presentations for board meetings and documenting the objectives and outcomes of the compliance adherence program being operated on the portfolio.Managing the routine filing and administration requirements and maintaining a well-organized and structured archive for files and other documents.REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in banking and financial services.Professional Certificate / Diploma in Compliance (LCOI).A successful candidate will need to complete the requisite exams as part of their role if not already completed.Strong attention to detail with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, and an excellent work ethic.Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and ability to work and communicate at all levels within the Group.Ability to understand new systems to ensure they can work efficiently and methodically in order to effectively manage and administer very large workloads and to hit deadlines.For more information, please contact ******
