We are seeking an experienced Cost Analyst who can deliver actionable insights to our business.
This role is based in our head office in Briarhill Galway.
The Company EZ Living Furniture was founded in Galway in 1998.
We are a family run Irish retailer operating nationwide, as well as a full online shopping experience offering delivery throughout Ireland.
We are the largest independent Furniture Retailer in Ireland employing over 350 people.
Key Responsibilities: Cost Analytics and Cost Efficiency.
Implement & lead the cost analytics and drive decisions based on data.
Analyse financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management - execute outcome.
Develop and maintain cost analytics models to support decision-making.
Performance Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
Business Partnering: Collaborate with business partners and stakeholders to enhance and improve cost management.
Develop the cost analytics reporting requirements of the business.
Provide cost analytics, return on investment guidance and support for strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business development opportunities.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor.
Strategy Prepare cost analytics develop strategies to reduce costs.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics that may impact cost adversely.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in cost reporting and analysis.
Qualifications: Third level qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field Minimum of 3 in cost analytics, Proficiency in financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems).
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Best in class reporting skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in retail an advantage.
