Role Overview As the Data Protection Officer (DPO) for all relevant jurisdictions within the British Isles and Ireland Market (BII), you will be primarily responsible for helping the market achieve compliance with GDPR and any associated or local implementing or equivalent data protection legislation. As the main point of contact for the BII market for data protection compliance, you will advise on internal and external data protection queries and ensure ongoing oversight and compliance with TMF Group's broader data protection program and framework.
Key Responsibilities: Ensuring the relevant BII TMF affiliates maintain compliance with relevant data protection laws and the TMF data privacy program and framework;Maintaining a register of processing activities for all relevant market TMF affiliates in conjunction with relevant internal stakeholders;Responding to client data protection audits, RFP questions, and other data protection-related requests;Performing privacy vendor assessments and updating such assessments as required;Handling supervisory authorities audits and ensuring annual registrations are actioned within the requisite timescales;Managing the local personal data breach handling process;Coordinating data subject access requests and maintaining appropriate logs of breaches;Arranging and executing targeted local data protection training;Providing regular updates to the Market Head of Legal and relevant TMF boards on local privacy compliance.Candidate Profile: Legal and/or Compliance focused experience/ background;Strong interpersonal and communication skills;Good understanding of GDPR and relevant data protection law;Ability to work independently whilst being a team player;Well organized and structured work ethos.* Please note, we'll contact selected Candidates only.
