Beechfield Care Group are now hiring for a Director of Nursing to assume responsibility for the overall management of Bethany House Nursing Home, Tyrellspass, Co. Westmeath.
This is a Specific Purpose / Fixed Term maternity leave cover contract with expected start date in February 2025 and expected duration of 6-9 months.
About Bethany House Nursing Home Bethany House Nursing Home is a purpose-built residential home situated in the picturesque village of Tyrellspass just 1km from the M6 and pleasantly located in the heart of the midlands in the Lake county of Westmeath.
The nursing home is adjacent to Tyrellspass Castle and is within walking distance of the local Church, Browne's on The Green hotel, and other local amenities.
About the Role: The Director of Nursing will be accountable for all aspects of care and services to the residents both clinically and operationally, and will assume responsibility for the management of all staff within the nursing home. The Director of Nursing will ensure all legislative requirements are maintained.

Role Responsibilities: Day to day management of the nursing home Quality of Care Responsibilities Management of HIQA regulations Health & Safety Candidate requirements Candidates must be registered with NMBI Details of any previous experience of carrying on the business of a designated centre Details and documentary evidence of any relevant qualifications or accredited training Excellent Clinical, Leadership and Organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound decision making ability Level 6 Management / Supervisory Qualification Candidates must have at least 3 years' experience at management level.
