Job Description: Summary: Seeking a proven manager to oversee multiple teams of mid-level and senior product managers, focusing on coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.
The role involves delivering high-quality, innovative, and efficient technology solutions while aligning with business objectives.
The manager will contribute to strategic development, drive continuous improvement, and manage departmental structure and training, spending about 70% of their time on people development.
Responsibilities: Coach and mentor product managers to deliver top-tier technology solutions.
Develop product/platform strategies with business leaders, leading to new and innovative products.
Drive the organization to adopt cutting-edge product management practices.
Contribute to best practices and strategies for improving delivery results, product management abilities, and overall performance.
Attract and retain diverse talent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
Specific Duties: Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives and establish strategies for products/platforms/markets.
Define and prioritize the product/platform roadmap, features, and capabilities.
Create and refine feature briefs, business cases, and epic value statements.
Ensure appropriate prioritization and development across product managers/owners.
Establish and measure success metrics to achieve desired outcomes.
Lead stakeholder processes to ensure clear understanding of features, prioritization, and trade-offs.
Work with user experience, product marketing, business partners, and others for successful feature/capability release and adoption.
Balance scope, complexity, risk, and costs.
Lead brainstorming sessions and challenge business needs to drive optimal outcomes.
Conduct market research, including user interviews, surveys, data analysis, and competitor analysis.
Design new approaches to complex business problems leveraging business processes/automation.
Evaluate and challenge the Return on Investment from technology spend.
Own the roadmap for one or more product lines.
