Driver Navan - Insulation Your future job Unilin is currently looking to recruit a part time Rigid and/or Artic truck Driver to be based from our Plant in Navan, Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, this role involves the safe and efficient transport of product, adhering to delivery schedules, and maintaining high standards of vehicle care.
Candidates must possess a valid truck driving license, a strong understanding of road safety regulations, and proven experience in a similar role.#InsulationUK Key Attributes:• Must be a current holder of a full C Driver's Licence.
• Ability to multitask• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.• Ability to work proactively on own initiative.• Forklift Experience.• Previous exposure to Warehouse Systems.• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with ability to meet deadlines.• Be a team player working with others to achieve company goals.Key Tasks and Duties:• To carry out your work in a legal and safe manner and comply with Company's Health and Safety policy.• Ensure Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, ISO Procedures are adhered to and all relevant documentation is completed, eg returns.• Unloading and loading your own Rigid in a safe and timely manner.• Ensure the truck is in good, safe and clean working condition showing tax, insurance and DOE certs.• Ensure Daily vehicle checks are completed and recorded.• Look after the truck & trailer, don't be driving in inappropriate conditions.
Eg overgrown lanes.• Inform your manager about any concerns, regarding roadworthy condition of truck or trailers, eg.
Tyres, lights.• Drive the truck in a fuel efficient manner.
Accurately record the use of diesel at the pump.
Fuel card must not be used for an other purpose.• Ensure you comply with RSA rules & guidelines on operating Tachograph equipment and downloads.
Ensure your Digital Card is renewed within the RSA guidelines.
• Accurately and fully complete your weekly time sheet and pass in timely manner to the Procurement office for wage approval.
• Ensure proper documentation accompanies each delivery, dockets are signed by an authorized person and returned to the Company.
• Knowing routes and traffic to ensure deliveries done as quickly and efficiently as possible.• Keep use of Company mobile phones to a minimum.
Personal use should be insignificant.• Work closely with Quality personnel, to ensure all products meet Company's quality and customer specifications.
You will be responsible for how product is on delivery.• Assist in the training of new Drivers or warehouse personnel.• Participate and engage in any training deemed relevant in doing your job.
Safe Pass.• Inform your manager, where penalty points or convictions are applied to your Driving license.
• Make yourself available for emergency deliveries like Saturdays and holidays.• Assist in warehouse & site whenever possible – When truck off the road or no loads and assist other departments as requested to ensure company objectives are obtained.• Assist with ad hoc administration duties where required.
• Tasks may require flexible working hours and you may be asked to travel to our other sites from time to time.
