Our client, a leading energy and lighting engineering company is seeking to recruit an Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Manager to join their team in Claremorris, Co. Mayo on a permanent contract.
As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for:
Formulating and executing health and safety strategies that align with organisational goals and legal requirements.Developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety policies and programs that align with legal requirements and industry best practices.Providing Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality advice to management and staff responsible for EHS&Q across all of the client's offices/sites nationwide.Identifying potential workplace hazards through audits and assessments, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, and investigating accidents and near-misses to analyze root causes and develop corrective actions that prevent a recurrence.Managing and controlling of Quality Management system as per ISO9001, the Environmental Management System as per ISO14001, and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System as per ISO15001 accreditations.Leading and developing the EHS&Q team while driving performance excellence across the business, collaborating closely with management, employees, and external agencies to foster a strong culture of safety and health.Maintaining and assessing sub-contractor insurances, safety statements and method statements.Collaborating with senior management, regulatory agencies, and employees to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar position.Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.Experience in the Construction industry would be an advantage.People Management Experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team.For a confidential discussion on the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality Manager role please contact Emma Barry today.
