Occupli are currently recruiting an EHS Manager for our client in the consumer health industry in Co. Waterford. This is a hands-on full-time permanent role. The successful candidate will be ambitious and have 5+ year's dedicated H&S experience in the pharmaceutical/ medical devices/ FMCG industry with a proven track record.
Primary purpose of this role; Responsiblefor the site EHS management system and compliance to EHS legislation and compnay's EHS standards
Work acrossboundaries with clients, supporting EHS in theValue streams and responsible for the day-to-day running of the business.
Buildcapability of the EHS team
Work withOccupational Health to assist in the implementation of an effective health andwellness programme.
Responsibilities: Develop new and novel options in term ofEHS programs which support reducing risk and challenges others thinking interms of improving EHS management at the site. Develop ideas with the output being suitablefor presentation to the site leadership team and senior management with inputfrom key stakeholder. Support site management, site personneland EHS personnel development to a level which increase competencies intechnical EHS subjects & EHS management. Support site personnel by coachingand mentoring to aid development. Develop EHS plans for the sites whichalign with site objectives. Develop site EHS performance metrics whichbring focus to key areas. Challenge poor performance and supportthrough focused effort which support customer needs. Focus site management on EHS performanceand goals with the ability to drive effective change programs with acceleratedlead times. Ensure effective implementation of EHS programsthrough effective project management, good communication and review processes. Communication skills will be important toensure customer needs and views and dealt with effectively in a positivemanner. A key success factor of this role will bethe integration of this role and other EHS roles into day- to-day siteoperations and the culture of the site. Building trust among key stakeholdersis critical to this role, key stakeholders in include site employees,contractors and regulators.
Requirements Basic Qualifications & Skills: Diploma in Health & Safety and a Chartered Memberof the Institute of Occupational Health & Safety (IOSH) 5 years experience in a similar role within thePharmaceutical/Medical Devices/FMCG industry.
