Saint John of God Community Services clg is a Section 38 Agency providing services funded by the Health Service Executive to children and adults with intellectual disability and children, adolescents and adults with mental ill health.
As part of Saint John of God Hospitaller Group, it supports approximately 8,000 children and adults annually with over 3,000 staff and volunteers.
We are delighted to invite suitable applicants for the following position: Employee Relations Specialist Part-time, permanent, 21 hours per week The successful applicant will: Contribute to the development of the Human Resource function by designing, developing and implementing, an Employee Relations strategy that is aligned with the strategic needs of Saint John of God Community services clg.
Influence and provide timely expert advice to managers regarding the application and interpretation of a wide spectrum of policies including Disciplinary, Grievance, Dignity at Work, and Trust in Care etc.
Provide effective management of cases, engaging key stakeholders and developing solutions with expert advice Develop policies, trainings, and communications and provide recommendations for corrective action policy revision and/or improving employee relations management in the formal discipline or termination of employees.
Lead the preparation & coordination of any external investigations.
Support the execution & implementation of Employee Relations programmes and initiatives and keep up to date with current employment  legislation and ensure this is reflected in Saint John of God Community Services Human Resource Policies.
Respond effectively to employee relations queries in a timely manner and ensure the organisation is legally protected in all employee related matters, while considering the employee experience and balancing appropriate risk.
Provide assistance & support to all levels of management in employee or management issues guided by the organisation employee relations policy and relevant employment legislation.
Develop and drive projects and activities focused on reducing Employment Relations issues whilst developing a culture of increasing line management empowerment.
Provide analysis of employee relations data.
Identify trends and recommend solutions to improve process, culture and performance, and design and implement pro-active employee relations strategies to reduce Employee Relations issues.
Co-ordinate and manage all Trade Union engagement throughout the organisation Location : The post is currently based at Saint John of God Community Services, Hospitaller House, Stillorgan, Co Dublin and the post will be considered for inclusion in a blended working model.  This position is Admin Grade VI as per the Consolidated Salary Scales.
