Financial Accountant

Our Client, a leading provider of Industrial Supply equipment based in Galway, is actively seeking a Financial Accountant to assist the Financial Controller with the accounting function.
Please Note: This is a fully on-site role with no Hybrid option available.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Manage the team of staff within the accounting function.Reconciliation of all bank accounts.Preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies and preparation of annual accounts to trial balance level.Monitor, control and report on Retail operation cash function.Maintain and improve the internal controls within the accounting function.Preparation and submission of VAT returns and WEEE returns.Preparation for year-end statutory audits ie Journals, Accruals, Asset Ledger, Reconciliations, etc.Payment approval of all staff business expenses submitted.Administration of company motor fleet insurance, accident reports, claims, etc.Various other duties (ad-hoc projects).ACCA/CIMA qualification essential3+ years experience requiredDemonstrated experience in people management essentialStrong knowledge of Windows, Excel and other related softwareGood interpersonal SkillsStrong analytical skillsSelf motivatedExcellent communication skills, initiative and customer focusAmbitious and multi-taskerAbility to work as part of a team as well as ability to work on own initiativeNote: By applying for this position, you may also be considered by Pale Blue Dot Recruitment for other or future related vacanciesPale Blue Dot® Recruitment - The Resource for the MedTech Workforce
