Freight Operations Executive - Cork - €43K

An exciting role for a Freight Operations Executive will play a central role in the management of import/export shipments by Sea Freight.
The team member will be part of a core group responsible for overall service levels, compliance, and profitable movement of customer import shipments.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage import FCL / LCL consignments due into Ireland.
Oversee shipments on the Cargowise system upon receipt of pre-alert docs.
Send custom entry to the client Ensure payment is received in advance of cargo arrival for any duty / VAT costs applicable.
Monitor bill of lading status original/express, Revise Incoterms for handling process.
Book haulier to collect & deliver shipment to final receiver.
Finalise invoicing and costs with the billing team.
Deal wit accounts queries in a timely manner by email or phone, Address any customer queries / communications within a good time frame.
Check rates/costs at time of booking receipt to ensure accuracy at the time of booking.
Organise transport on collection of all sea freight shipments as required.
Create booking and convert to shipment on the company system for each export LCL/FCL consignments.
Issue MBL / HBL for sea shipments and confirm SOB with ocean carriers.
Scan documents and pre-alert partners/agents on export shipment departures from Ireland.
Manage and deal with accounts queries in a timely manner by email or phone, fast turnaround is required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE 2 years experience in sea freight and imports / exports.
Experience in Customs Clearance Degree or suitable qualification in Supply Chain / Logistics / Freight Operations Skills: Freight Sea Import Export Benefits: Bonus Pension Additional Leave
