The ACE Evaluation team is seeking a motivated Design Evaluation Engineer to provide support to our automotive team located at ADI's Limerick Campus. There are 5 full-time engineers in the Design Evaluation team, and around 50 engineers in the wider Automotive Cabin Experience group across multiple faculties and sites. We are working on developing ADI's E2B product family.
Design Evaluation is a mixed hardware and software role. We evaluate the silicon (both prototypes and final production devices), debug any issues, verify the design, characterize performance, take measurements, and support our worldwide teams.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop, execute, analyze, and debug complex silicon test cases.Combination of hardware and software developmentPerform silicon measurements and characterization using lab equipment.Develop, prototype, and use evaluation board hardware.Develop automation of lab equipmentPrototyping customer solutions on the benchMinimum qualifications: A qualification in electronic/computers/software engineering.Ability to develop code in C, Python, or similar programming languages.Familiarity with analog electrical circuit theoryFamiliarity with digital logic fundamentalsFamiliarity with lab equipment measurementsInterested in using lab equipment and hands-on approach.Preferred skills: Object-oriented programmingExperience using Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or equivalent devices.Connecting sensors or actuators to devices and using them in projects.Hands-on approach, comfortable working with hardware, boards, and equipment.For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
