Role Overview The Head of Information Technology will lead the continued development, delivery and support of IT systems including both infrastructure and Business Applications with a combination of technical and functional knowledge. You will be a primary driver of the continuous development of the IT Strategy plan and its execution. The role will include the development and management of the various team members and sub-teams, including the various system owners within the team. The role will also have budgetary responsibility including preparation of, and monitoring of, progress against budget.
You will be a key point of contact for all business functions and operational departments along with vendor and client contacts. The successful candidate will need to be solutions orientated with a strong focus on delivering projects and making improvements while being capable of prioritising resources and activities.
The role will be based fulltime in Group HQ with some travel to relevant offices and client sites as required.
Key Role & Responsibilities: Developing and implementing the IT Strategy Plan covering functional, operational and security systems to support business united now and into the future Project management of the implementation, replacement and upgrading of existing business systems, infrastructure and supporting applications as required Managing the IT team including Support Desk, Business Applications Desk, Engineering and external vendor partners Managing the continued development and integration of the ERP system with other Business Support Applications including HRIS, WMS, GIS System and various Estimating Systems Managing the design, availability and operating performance including security performance of the company network, storage systems, infrastructure and disaster recovery systems Interfacing with all business units and their leaders to capture, analyse and implement system solutions Provide leadership in the development of a value-driven technology strategy and standards for Operational, project & financial management Finance reporting Sales & procurement Stock management People, time & attendance Reporting Systems including BI360 / PowerBI Data Warehouse Management Multi-currency & multi business unit structures Cloud infrastructure supporting 24/7/365 access Device and connectivity solutions Manage infrastructure and application systems upgrades projects from project charter to project delivery and implementation Manage and be responsible for IT function budgeting and project costs in consultation with business unit owners Implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 accreditation and other Information Security controls and systems Manage, guide and develop team members through preparation of individual development plans, coaching, and guidance Candidate Experience, Skills & Requirements: Proven experience in a technology leadership role, including direct line management of managers and team leaders Deep working knowledge of IT infrastructure systems including cloud architecture Relevant 3rd level qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar relevantrelated field a distinct advantage Experience of a dynamic, high-volume construction / building environment essential Demonstrable knowledge of Information Security systems including Disaster Recovery procedures and ISO 27001 Expert knowledge of IT hardware, software and cloud solutions and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations.
Experience preparing and managing budgets for IT operations Knowledge of business application systems including ERP, Reporting, Work Management and GIS Systems Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of Information Security systems including Disaster Recovery procedures and ISO 27001 Ability to provide exceptional customer services in a fast-paced environment.
