Position Description This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Health & Wellbeing team and further strengthen the range of supports and services in place. The Health & Wellbeing Manager is responsible for the health and wellbeing provision for all ESB Group, nationally and internationally, playing a significant role in the development and integration of both clinical and non-clinical health and wellbeing services across ESB.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Lead the development of policies and standards for health and wellbeing aligned to the ESB Group Strategy, People Promise and Leading Through Our Values.Lead the Health & Wellbeing team to implement the health and wellbeing strategy and associated work plans.Develop and implement a business plan for Occupational Health, Contracts & Governance, Employee Assistance Programme, and Health Promotion.Collaborate with teams across People & Sustainability to ensure health and wellbeing contributes effectively to ESB's employee value proposition, culture and benefits.Operational Management: Ensure that best practice clinical and operational processes, procedures and guidelines are in place.Ensure all health and wellbeing and other related legislative and compliance requirements are met.Oversee and authorise appropriate and consistent health & wellbeing communications.Provide governance and assurance for Occupational Health, hygiene, ergonomics and wellbeing at Group level.Implement and maintain an externally validated health and wellbeing certification/accreditation.Identify potential health and wellbeing risks at Group and business level and advise on their risk reduction/health monitoring controls.Identify significant risk aspects/current health and wellbeing trends within the organisation and inform the Executive Committee.Continuously review best practices in both clinical, health promotion and support services and recommend appropriate changes to the services and supports provided.Review the outcomes from employee surveys from H&W and employee benefits and experience aspects and recommend both Group-wide and business specific interventions where gaps are identified.Keep abreast of digital offerings and supports for H&W, seeking the most effective products and applications for ESB and its employees.External Representation & Collaboration: Represent ESB in industry H&W fora.Leverage the health and wellbeing benefits associated with ESB's health insurance provider.Support the work of the H&W Centre of Competence Sponsorship Group.Experience and Qualifications A third level qualification in any discipline such as psychology, HR, engineering, (including safety, environment, health or other relevant discipline).Minimum seven years' relevant industry experience.Minimum three years' experience leading a team.Proven track record of delivering business plans and projects.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.A strong commitment to workplace health & wellbeing.Relevant certification in H&W, related to occupational health, health promotion, wellbeing, etc.Location This position will be based in ESB Head Office, 27 Fitzwilliam Street, Dublin 2.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least two anchor days per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual.
