We work to enhance the lives of people with an intellectual disability and/or autism; working in partnership with them, their families and local communities to provide a broad range of person-centred services and supports.
Skills and AttributesFlexibilityCommunicationDescriptionCare Assistant (Disability Services) as per the HSE consolidated payscales. Full Time 78 hour fortnightCope Foundation is recruiting individuals to support a man and a woman through an individualised support service.
The successful applicants will be supporting a man and woman separately within their own home, as part of a team and in partnership with their natural support network.
The following are essential requirements for the position: Relevant experience in individualised ways of working, through a rights-based lensExperience of supporting a person with an intellectual disability and behaviours that challengeAbility to discover the individual's abilities and interests in order to support them develop and sustain positive social valued roles within their communitiesAbility to offer supports in a creative, innovative, flexible and person-centred waySupport the creation of new opportunities with these individuals through an ongoing discovery processTo have excellent interpersonal, listening, planning and organisational skillsThe ability to partner and liaise effectively with othersA willingness to be flexible with working hours, based on the individuals support requirementsThe support requirements will include all activities of daily and domestic support within their homeExperience in Mental HealthWhat your role will look like: Supporting an individual within their home with all activities of daily livingSupport with social outings and life activitiesContinued motivation to enhance the person's quality of lifeWorking in partnership with their families and natural support networkWhat we offer: Salary in line with the HSE consolidated pay scalesOpportunities for professional development and career growthA flexible and supportive work environmentMembership of the Single Public Service Pension SchemeAn opportunity to make a real difference in people's livesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeBike to Work SchemeInformal enquiries can be made to Samantha Taylor, Regional Manager on 086 075 4268.
