Bord na Móna are seeking an IT Graduate to join our team. The successful candidate will provide business as usual and project support in IT domains such as Infrastructure, Applications, IT Security, and Service Delivery. This will deliver a very rounded experience while also developing the core competencies as set out in the Graduate competency development framework.
The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following:
Proactively support line manager in the delivery of assigned BAU support and projects, using these opportunities to put into practice much of the theory learned in college and developing the prescribed competency as per the graduate competency development framework.Complete assigned work with each of the IT disciplines to achieve the very best rounded experience.In BAU support, will be expected to log support tickets in BnM's Service Management System, triage assigned tickets, and assist first & second line support teams in resolving BAU issues.Assist in the rollout of IT projects to deliver project objectives, gain familiarization with IT processes and procedures, IT infrastructure, and application architectures while participating in technical meetings and workshops with IT teams.You will be assigned for a period to support the IT security team and participate in the rollout of IT security awareness across the organisation, support the reporting of any security incidents, and participate in the day-to-day IT security support.This role will also support the delivery of services to our internal colleagues ensuring strong delivery of internal SLA's and will spend time with our application teams who provide support to over 30 applications.Engage regularly with assigned mentor to broaden knowledge of the organisation and to identify key areas to focus your development on.Build a network of contacts throughout the business to whom you are assigned.Proactively participate in the Graduate development workshops.Proactively participate as part of the team to whom you are assigned.Provide support to other team projects as requested.Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's, objectives.All employees are expected to co-operate fully with all provisions taken by the company for ensuring Health and Safety, and Welfare of co-employees and members of the public using the premises.The Person:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
Min 2.1 Level Degree in Relevant DisciplineCompetent with Microsoft O365 including Teams, Word/Excel, and PowerPoint.Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both individually and as part of a team.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.The selection process for this role will include candidate screening from application.
