Job role: Junior Health and Safety Advisor Dundalk Our client is a long established and highly regarded construction company having delivered many high-end projects across Ireland and the UK.
Due to extensive growth over the last 5 years, they are currently reviewing operations and are looking to recruit a permanent Junior H&S Advisor to their growing business.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated H&S professional to take on a junior level role within a growing organisation and work under experienced H&S personnel helping you progress and improve your skills.
Day-to-day Responsibilities: Provide regular safety training, including creating and implementing organisational safety guidelines.
Ensure that all accidents are reported, recorded, investigated and appropriate actions are taken to ensure that they do not happen again Enforcing safety regulations into the work environment Work closely with construction managers, workers and external health and safety bodies to maintain a safe working environment.
Conducting regular safety audits Offer guidance, instruction, and advise on all health and safety matters to management, safety representatives, and employees, including sub-contractors as necessary Ensure equipment is installed safely, manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances.
Manage and delegate work to the safety team Keep a focus on health and safety withing the business, include health and safety in business discussions Develop a positive health and safety culture Ensure safe working procedures are implemented Skills and qualifications: Recognised health and safety degree or diploma 1+ years experience Construction H&S IT skills Ability to work as part of a team This job is a great opportunity for a safety manager to progress their career within an ever-expanding company with plenty of growth opportunities.
