The Role / Location We are seeking a Maintenance Operative to join the centre management team based on site at Whitewater Shopping Centre.
This individual will be responsible for day-to-day operations and maintaining the property to the highest possible standards.
They will ensure all facilities, buildings and its assets, are functional, efficient, safe, and in compliance with regulations. The candidate will have building services experience and responsible for, all compliance and maintenance tasks day to day as well as provide speedy response to issues arising on site to ensure the environment remains safe and welcoming to the public. Key Responsibilities & Tasks Comply with relevant Health & Safety requirements and be familiar with and ensure that fire, health and safety regulations are adhered to Electrically competent - first response fault finding, emergency light testing, replacing lamps Plumbing skills - respond to leaks, basic repair and replacement of plumbing components, drains & pipework Compliance testing - emergency lights, fire dampers, water temperatures, logging & recording Painting & general maintenance works - skills in general maintenance including painting, filling and carpentry Flexible approach - ability to prioritise daily works Reporting - skills to deliver weekly/monthly reporting of issues to centre management Teamwork - working within the team to deliver a first class service Presentable and articulate with some computer skills Clean driving licence Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience Good attention to detail Proactive and self-motivated Good verbal and written communication Ability to work flexibly within a team environment to meet the needs of the business Good general maintenance knowledge and familiarity with a range of common plant and equipment used on site To be considered for this position, you will ideally have a trade background e.g.
