Teamworx are delighted to partner with this family-run business with operations in both the UK & Ireland, employing 240 staff. This newly appointed position is due to continued business growth and offers the successful candidate a chance to join the finance team of 5, reporting to the Financial Controller based in the busy head office in Maynooth.
This is a hands-on role which requires advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software. You will have responsibility for a number of entities throughout the UK & Ireland, and your tasks will include producing management accounts for review and consolidation by the Financial Controller, as well as a variety of other finance duties.
Role Responsibilities & Duties: Producing monthly management accounts for review and consolidation.Preparing and posting prepayment & accrual journals on Sage.Assisting with monthly stock reconciliation and cost analysis vs budget.Balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany balances.Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc reporting and dealing with queries from the operations team.Preparation of VAT returns (UK & Ireland), Intrastat, payroll returns, and CSO reporting.Liaising with auditors.Assisting the Financial Controller with ad hoc projects designed to improve internal controls.Providing cover and answering queries for AP, AR, and Payroll.Providing cover/back up for the Financial Controller as required, e.g., holiday cover.What you'll need to succeed: IT proficiency – excellent knowledge of Microsoft, in particular Excel.Working knowledge of Sage software is an advantage but not required.Relevant qualification – qualified accountant or an accountant who is qualified by experience to produce management accounts.Strong clear communication skills, questioning and probing to ensure full understanding of all tasks and details, and communicating back the information to various stakeholders.Positive can-do attitude with the ability to multitask.Excellent time management skills, organizing workload and priorities to ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timelines.Team player - flexible with regards to business needs and month-end.Deliver a high quality of work - strong attention to detail, taking care to ensure accuracy in reporting.Must always show discretion with confidential/sensitive information.If you are an experienced management accountant and are looking to join a progressive company, please contact Denise Brady or Elaine Coen Byrne on 045 898037 or ******.
