Purpose of the role: The role of the Medical Scientist in Biochemistry is to be part of the large scientific team and when fully trained to work in all areas of the Laboratory over time which encompasses the large automated routine Core Laboratory, specialized Bone/Gastro/Mass Spectrometry, Molecular Biochemistry and the de facto reference laboratory in Ireland for Porphyria.
