This is a place to make a difference in the world.The Role & What You Will Be DoingThe Microbiology Student Intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process, finished product and stability product samples and completing the relevant GMP documentation.
The Microbiology Student intern will also be responsible for trending, data entry, project work and any other duties assigned.Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Microbiology Student Intern role will make an impact:Assist in routine Microbiological testing of raw materials, WFI, in process products in strict compliance with GLP & cGMP procedures.Assist in Environmental monitoring of classified areas.Assist/Perform Growth promotion and sterility testing of media supplied to microbiology laboratory.Support the validation programs including process and method validations.Develop familiarity with basic laboratory equipment and tests.Ensure that work is carried out safely and in compliance with the organization's quality system.
Learn how to generate quality documentation in compliance with the internal organisational procedures and GMP.Take ownership and ensure all personally assigned duties are carried out and controlled in line with the internal organization's policies.Ensure the laboratory area is always maintained in a clean condition and supplies of consumables are in constant stock.Perform other duties as assigned.About Your Skills & ExperienceFor this role, we're looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:Student undertaking a degree/diploma in Microbiology or relevant science related course.
However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.Ability to perform or have good working knowledge of basic Microbiology testing and aseptic techniques.Must possess knowledge of the USP and EP Microbiological requirements.Excellent attention to detail.Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.Computer skills including Word & Excel.College level mathematics ability required.Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
