Plant Operator Contract Duration/Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Location: MSD Swords/Liscarton WTP Navan/ MSD Dunboyne/ OMeath Hybrid/Onsite: Onsite Overview of the role: Due to increased contracts in this catchment area we are looking for a mobile Engineering Technician to assist in the operation of all aspects of the treatment plants, From general operational tasks, to assisting in process improvements and visual checks on water quality.
This role will include daily operational tasks, visual checks, automation system monitoring and adjustment, data logging, contractor supervision and permitting.
Also included general maintenance duties, as well as On Call duties, and other tasks as required.
The role will involve effective communication and interaction with management, team members, clients, and suppliers so as to ensure that deliverables and company KPIs are achieved.
In executing the role it is paramount that Health & Safety comes first and client standards are maintained at all times.

Duties of the Role include; Permitting inline with company and client standards Subcontractor supervision Health and Safety standards adherence Daily process monitoring and operational work orders Plant and alarm monitoring, operation of plant machinery and carry out any relevant maintenance work Plant and alarm monitoring, operation of plant machinery and carry out any relevant maintenance work Recording daily plant data from SCADA Effluent sampling and analyses Assist with On Call Provide accurate reporting as necessary including inputting and operating Computer maintenance system General house-keeping cleaning duties Liaise and interact with the Plant Manager and other operators on site, as well as other contractors from electrical and mechanical disciplines Required skills for this role; Leaving Certificate or Equivalent Job experience in a mechanical or industrial setting Willingness to learn new skills and work with other disciplines Desirable: Working in an industrial setting Desirable: Previous experience on a water or wastewater treatment plant Please note: ?If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.
