Co-ordinate the activities of workers engaged in testing in order to control quality of manufacture and to ensure compliance with corporate standards. Ensure the processes needed for the quality management system are established, implemented and maintained. Promote awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
Key responsibilities include: To develop and manage a team capable of delivering and improving the Quality System for the organisation.Provide a framework for the design, implementation and maintenance of a consistent, integrated and sensible Quality System.Monitoring of internal systems to ensure compliance with Group Quality practices and procedures.Monitoring and control of customer complaints utilising trend charting and problem solving analysis.Manage vendor improvement programme to ensure the system used by the vendor guarantees quality of material supplied to manufacturing including the periodic auditing of proposed or current suppliers.Provide support and guidance to the Quality Technicians in the management of the Quality Plan and to ensure that documentation systems are maintained in compliance with GMP.Development of annual budget plans in addition to preparation of capital expenditure projects that are required to improve the quality of the product or process.Organisation and control of Quality Documentation system in addition to leading the Internal Audit Schedule for the plant to ensure compliance with GMP.Implementation of equipment and process validation with a successful integration of the application of TPM.To achieve Sector and Plant KPI's.To lead the production quality, food safety and food defence improvement program.To participate in the implementation and/or maintenance of the quality and food safety systems and certification within the plant.To Co-ordinate and validate problem solving (PDCA/ 8D), following internal and external non – conformances.To engage employees in the deployment and embracing of relevant Six Sigma and Lean tools (PCDA / 8D / DOE / FMEA /5S).What are we looking for? Third level technical qualification, preferably in production, manufacturing or quality engineering with experience in a high volume manufacturing environment.5 year's managerial experience in high volume manufacturing in addition to knowledge of and implementation of Quality Systems.At least 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in Automotive, Electronics, food packaging or similar sectors.Good teamwork skills and a strong analytical ability are essential.Self-motivated with good communications and leadership skills to ensure quality is the number one objective for all employees.Analysis of quality practices, procedures, problem solving with sound decision-making as a result.Excellent interpersonal ability across a wide range of functions.Computer literate, ideally with both PC Skills and experience of Microsoft Office.Compensation and Benefits include: Annual salary of €75.000 - €93.000 + 15% annual bonus.Company contributory pension scheme.6 months of full maternity pay.Long service awards.Access to learning and development pathways.Ball Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
