The production operator will work as part of the team required to meet current and future production requirements. You will operate the production facility in a safe manner in accordance with the company's QEHS policies and guidelines. Along with monitoring and maintaining production performance and efficiency, you will work to meet quality standards for the specified product, minimizing off-specification product and maximizing throughput and equipment use.
We are looking for a safety-conscious individual with a strong work ethic and willingness to develop and learn.
Role Responsibilities Core Operate the plant in a safe and efficient manner Follow start-up and shutdown procedures Set up and adjust plant parameters to meet production and quality targets Record production parameters hourly Routinely sample production products for quality target Routinely inspect plant during running Report production issues, I.e., Quality or Process Monitor energy usage Production The main objective of the plant is to produce GGBS, Blended and specialised products These products must conform to the set standards, any nonconforming products must be recorded and reported Quality During production samples of raw and finished products are taken at regular intervals for quality control and lab testing  Other Maintenance and upkeep of plant & machinery Maintenance and housekeeping of the bulk plant, site grounds and annexed facilities Weighbridge duties Machine driving Comply with the company's QEHS policies 12-hour shift pattern including weekends, alternating across day and night shift rotation
