The Position As part of this position, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, developing, and overseeing a project controls team working across a varied project portfolio.
You will be managing a team of up to 10 individuals.
As a Project Controls & Governance Lead at Novo Nordisk, your key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement project controls and governance strategies for all Emerging Technology (ET) projects.
Oversee capital expenditure management and cost reporting.
Oversee project schedule management and reporting.
Oversee project risk management and change management relating to capital expenditure and scheduling.
Oversee ET projects investment governance and project portfolio.
Qualifications To be successful in this role, we imagine that you have: Master, Bachelor, or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related fields.
Project Management experience is advantageous.
Minimum 10 years of project controls experience in large scale capital projects , preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, and some experience as a people manager.
Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and cultivating high-performing and diverse teams, exhibiting robust stakeholder management and collaboration abilities, along with effective communication and cooperation skills.
Demonstrated capability in delivering concise and coherent presentations to multiple stakeholders A strong focus on results and exhibits robust analytical capabilities, showing initiative and a dedication to continuous improvement.
You should also have an eye for detail, be a sharp thinker, and excel in planning and organizing.
The candidate should also show resilience in tackling challenges with determination and have excellent written and spoken English skills.
About the Department You will join the Project Controls & Governance team at Novo Nordisk in Athlone.
Our department is responsible for managing capital projects to deliver increased capabilities and capacities for both development and commercial products.

You will manage a team up to 10 individual, while directly reporting into the Athlone Capital Expansion Lead.
