Kelly Staffing are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced QC Inspector to join our client in Galway City on a fixed term contract. Our client is an early-stage medical device company who specialise in the design and production of innovative MedTech. About the role: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that products meet the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves inspecting, testing, and sampling materials or products for defects and deviations from specifications. Key Responsibilities: Inspection and Testing: Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping. Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications. Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into quality databases. Monitoring Operations: Monitor the production operations to ensure they comply with company standards. Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process. Report inspection and testing data such as weights, temperatures, grades, and quantities inspected. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and standards. Follow and enforce all established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work area. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to provide feedback and implement corrective actions when necessary. Communicate with suppliers and vendors regarding quality issues. Qualifications: Leaving Certificate or equivalent; third level qualification in a technical field is preferred. Proven experience as a quality control inspector or relevant role. A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach. Excellent knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies. Competency in basic math and computer skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
