A Day in the LifeSupport research, design, and development of next generation VCF (Vertebral compression fracture) products. This individual's responsibilities would include design tasks, documentation, testing, and fixture design.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide technical skills during research and product development for products and procedures in bone and soft tissue per medical device standards and internal procedures.Translate product and user research into requirements and product specifications.Provide technical support to product and process development and on-field related activities such as clinical programs and complaint investigations.Translate ideas into CAD 3D renderings and drawings using software like Solidworks.Participate in design reviews and technical drawing reviews.Design and develop test methods and fixtures.Write and execute hardware verification and validation protocols.Write test reports documenting verification and validation.Support maintenance of commercially released products on an as-needed basis.Coordinate and guide suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.Troubleshoot equipment and product issues that occur during day-to-day R&D work to provide technical solutions.Work in multidisciplinary teams for planning and implementing the introduction of new products, in line with marketing plans and undertaking specific projects as designated in support of the business activities of Medtronic.Monitor and evaluate safety practices and ensure compliance with legislation and understand and operate departmental and company quality procedures.Key Skills & Experience: Level 8 Degree in Engineering / Science or related discipline with minimum 1 year's relevant direct engineering experience.Medical device technology experience, ideally in interventional vascular devices would be advantageous.Experience in biomedical materials, processing knowledge, and medical device design procedures.Proven track record in innovative design, product development, and manufacturing.A dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.Physical Job Requirements
