The position of Radiology, Staff Officer, Grade V, encompasses both managerial and administrative responsibilities Ensure the efficient day-to-day administration of area of responsibility. Ensure deadlines are met and that service levels are maintained. Ensure policies and procedures are well documented, understood and adhered to. Ensure that archives and records are accurate, maintained confidentially and readily available to the appropriate authority. Ensure line management is kept informed of issues. Maximise the use of technology in ensuring work is completed to a high standard Responsible for maintenance of the RIS on a day-to-day basis which includes training, table building, user creation, house-keeping, trouble-shooting and providing support to system users in ensuring that the system is functioning correctly within their area of work Involved with representation of the Hospital at external/internal site visits and conference calls as required in trouble shooting issues and developing additional workflows/skills as required to meet the demands of the service. Involved with any new rollouts/upgrades of the RIS in association with the RIS/PAC's Managers Assist in the investigation and resolution of RIS related problems and escalating any issues in conjunction with RIS/PACS Manager Daily review of all orders on the system and investigation/clean-up of any anomalies including DNA's, discharged patients/accounts, blank locations. Generate statistical reports on a regular basis using the Metrix and ensuring these are presented in an accurate and user friendly manner, liaising with RSM and RIS/PACS Manager on reports required Manage Workflow Intelligence reports, signed reports and extended running orders report Post Specific requirements Candidates must by the closing date for receipt of applications possess the following as relevant to the role:

Essential Extensive knowledge and experience using a Radiology Information System (RIS) A demonstrated record of supporting the delivery of change and experience of managing and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders Excellent Training Techniques to end users Excellent MS Office skills to include Word, Excel and Power Point Have a working knowledge of hospital information system which should include patient administration system eg (IPMS).
