Research Projects Lead Who We Are 20FIFTY Partners is a mission-led organisation that has been driving awareness and action on the climate and sustainability agenda for the past twenty years through research and education.
We have worked closely with national agencies and thousands of businesses in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives within Ireland, the UK and across Europe.
We have a successful track record in delivering national and internationally funded research projects in Climate Action, Industrial Water Stewardship, and Circularity, delivering industry-led applied research with a focus on practical evidence-based impact in association with our Communities of Practice.
Role Overview We are looking for candidates with an exceptionally strong background in research management, dissemination and exploitation strategies, and who are extremely confident in managing EU-funded research projects and writing EU-funded project proposals.
Building on the recent success in acquiring international and national research funding (Horizon Europe, UK Market Improvement Fund, and EPA), the 20FIFTY Partners Research unit is now looking to recruit a Research Projects Lead to deliver on the team's research project portfolio across Climate Action, Sustainability, Circularity, and Water Stewardship.
The successful candidate will be based in our Limerick office full-time.
As The Research Projects Lead, You Will Project manage several large programmes of research concurrently Lead out key national and internationally funded research projects in sustainability Represent the company in our national and international working groups and networks Conduct horizon scanning on research opportunities and engagement opportunities with existing and emerging research consortiums Actively develop and implement project exploitation and dissemination strategies in collaboration with relevant project partners Prepare the non-scientific elements of funding reports in an accurate and timely manner Lead out on the planning and implementation of project launch and consortia meetings Actively develop appropriate external contacts and networks relevant to future collaboration and funding opportunities including with academic institutions and research bodies Provide direct project management guidance to the project managers and lead project partners on project activities Be the point of contact for all project operational activity including partner management/technical teams and external stakeholders Conduct operational management of project budgets and assigned resource allocations Lead Principal Investigators through the administration of account set up and close out Lead relevant meetings associated with the research project or related activities Resolve problems affecting the delivery of research projects Lead bids for major research projects What We Are Looking For A degree or higher in a relevant discipline 5+ years of professional project management experience, with a minimum of 3 years managing large EU projects (e.g., EU framework programme projects such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe) Certifications or accreditations in project management methodologies, e.g., APMP, PRINCE2, PMP, CSM Experienced in stakeholder management including communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders e.g., funding bodies, academia, government institutions, non-profit agencies Experience in managing delivery and submission of project deliverables/reports A confident go-getter Assertive and motivated by ambitious objectives Eligibility Criteria Be willing to work full time in our Limerick office Be currently eligible to live and work in Ireland What We Offer A competitive salary reflective of your skills and experience Opportunities for professional development and career growth A supportive and inclusive work environment Life Assurance, Pension Contributions, Employee Assistance Programme, Bike to Work Scheme #J-18808-Ljbffr
