Resident Engineer (Active Travel)

As Resident Engineer you will supervise the construction phase of an Active Travel project in Leixlip. The Greenlane project will enhance the cycle opportunities within the area, facilitate schools, and provide greater access to local amenities.
Our Client is one of the leading global Civil Engineering Consultants. They have been awarded a Construction Works Contract to run for approximately 9 months, with further projects in the area likely to follow. As Resident Engineer, you will play a vital role in site supervision and client coordination liaison. If you have worked on similar cycle schemes, greenway projects, or roads projects and would like to hear more about the current project, please apply or get in touch.
To be considered for the role you will have:Previous experience on roads / highway / greenway / cycle scheme, environmental improvement projects with at least 7 years industry experience in a similar site engineering or supervision capacity.Third level qualification in a related discipline such as Civil or Environmental Engineering.Strong health and safety awareness related to roads / highways / similar projects.Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand design and any changes that may be necessary.Key Responsibilities:Monitoring progress on site in line with the programme.Checking Traffic Management plans and phasing of works.Liaising with clients and contractors, developing strong trusted relationships, proactively managing their expectations, and comprehensively advising them.You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to act within a team at all times.
