We have multiple Specified Purpose, Full-Time, 39 hours contracts available.
Starting Salary - €29,417 - DOE Acquired Brain Injury Ireland provides community-based residential rehabilitation services to people living with brain injury in Ireland. Our mission is to serve, advocate, empower and support people impacted by brain injury to rebuild their lives. With a person-centred approach, our Residential Rehabilitation Assistants assist each individual to plan and direct their lives, meet the needs identified in their individual rehabilitation plan and support outcomes that are meaningful to the person in conjunction with their overall needs, integrating more fully into the community and achieving their potential.
Role Duties: Form a therapeutic relationship and rapport with the person served and maintain a positive constructive and professional relationshipFacilitate and co-ordinate the daily independence of the person served within the service/community by working with them and their family in formulating their Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRP)Assist and encourage the person served to achieve their goals as identified in their IRPAssist the person served with budgeting, money management and disability benefits where applicable in line with organisational policyAssist the person served to improve their quality of life by developing, encouraging, and supporting them in the activities of daily living (including personal care), the learning of skills for gaining employment and leisure activitiesRecord and document daily activities, reports, and reviews via the iPlanit systemWork as a member of a team and attend team meetings and reviews as requiredMinimum Requirements: A relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a minimum QQI Level 5 standardFull driving licenceA person-centred approach to supporting people with an acquired brain injuryExcellent inter-personal and communication skills.
