Retail Supervisor - Cork Builders Providers - Blackpool, Co. Principle Objective To take full responsibility for the day to day running of the Retail store and to ensure that the store is visually merchandised to an excellent standard and to ensure that the highest levels of Customer Service are given at all times.
Knowledge & Experience Ability to work in a high paced environment and to multitask Familiarity with local market a plus Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and energy Previous retail sales experience in home improvements or the Builders Providers industry is ideal Exceptional communication and teamwork skills Keen eye for detail Key Responsibilities Development and rotation of new and existing products within the branch Take full responsibility for the day to day running of the shop and manage who is responsible for opening and closing the shop Organise team rota, organising breaks, Saturday cover and annual leave to ensure optimum levels of service at all times Excellent customer service at all times including phones Responsible for the Ironmongery Category, Pricing & Margin management Design and implementation of planograms to optimise product sales and development Ensure showroom displays are installed in a timely manner to company standards, liaising as necessary with Marketing Recommend potential advertising venues and marketing strategies Organise showroom maintenance and refits as needed Merchandising and pricing of stock including shelf edge labelling and signage Manage stock levels, ordered by delegated staff using templates provided Maintain a high standard of product presentation and display in the branch General housekeeping Full involvement in Madness sales, National flyers & advertising including LMFM Essential Competencies Ability to prioritise workload Effective team working and networking skills Commercial awareness and numeracy skills Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills Strong sales skills and negotiation skills The flexibility and willingness to learn Target driven with the ability to think strategically Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Negotiation and analytical skills A positive attitude IT literacy and the ability to handle analytical data Contract Type Permanent Full time 39 hour contract Working week Monday to Friday, may be required to take part in the Saturday roster Our Benefits Include Competitive Basic Salary Private Health Care Sick Pay Scheme Paid Maternity and Parental Leave Pension Scheme Colleague Saving Scheme Profit Share Scheme Colleague Discount Educational Assistance Wellness initiatives
