Scope of the Role The Sales Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue at the Hyatt Centric Hotel, enhance brand visibility, and attract target customers.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in hospitality sales and marketing, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of market trends and customer needs.
Reports to: Group Sales Director & Managing Director/ General Manager Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy and Management: Develop and Execute Sales Plans: Create and implement strategic sales plans that align with the goals of the Hyatt Centric, Dublin, including corporate, group, and leisure segments.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agents/DMC's, event planners, and tour operators.
Hyatt Global Relationship Management: Build rapport and liaise closely with the Hyatt Global team to leverage their expertise and seek to drive brand awareness and enquiry.
Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify new business opportunities and areas for growth.
Sales Targets: Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets, adjusting strategies as needed to meet or exceed objectives.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present at weekly sales meeting, include forecasts, and performance metrics.
Marketing Strategy and Execution: Brand Management: Oversee the Hyatt Centric brand positioning, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels and materials.
Campaign Development: Work closely with the Marketing team & Group Sales Director to plan and initiate innovative marketing campaigns (digital and traditional) to drive bookings, increase occupancy, and promote special events.
Social media and Online Presence: Audit the Hyatt Centric' s social media platforms, maintain online reputation, and website content to enhance visibility and engagement.
Advertising and Promotions: Think of new & engaging advertising campaigns, including print, digital, and media partnerships, to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
Work closely with the Marketing team, in accordance with the activity planner to deliver projects on time & in full.
Public Relations: Maintain an awareness of PR opportunities and liaise frequently with our Group PR Manager to drive public relations efforts, including press releases, media relations, and partnerships with local businesses and tourism boards.
Event Management: Event Sales: Oversee the sales and marketing efforts for hotel events, including weddings, conferences, and corporate meetings.
Client Liaison: Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure successful event execution.
Event Promotion: Work with the marketing colleagues to deliver marketing materials and promotional strategies to attract event business and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Team Leadership: Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team in Hyatt Centric, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Training: Offer training and support to team members on sales techniques, marketing strategies, and customer relationship management.

Marketing Understanding: Knowledge of digital and traditional marketing strategies, including SEO, content marketing, and social media.

Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse market trends, sales data, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills; experienced in motivating and guiding a sales team.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and strategies.
Creativity: Innovative thinking with the ability to develop unique marketing campaigns and sales strategies.
Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in; Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
A master's degree is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (Envision & Salesforce, an advantage), digital marketing, social media platform awareness, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the hotel industry, including market trends, competitor analysis, and customer demographics.
Language: Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an asset.
Brand: Knowledge of International brand is preferred but not required.
Work Environment: This role may require working outside of standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on business needs.
Occasional travel may be required to attend trade shows, industry events, or meet with clients.
