Senior Bim Technician – Building & Infrastructure

TOBIN, a large multi-disciplinary (engineering, environmental, planning) consultancy practice operating in Ireland since 1952, is currently looking to recruit an ambitious and self-driven Senior BIM Technician to join our busy and growing team in any of our office locations (Galway, Dublin, Castlebar, Limerick or Sligo).
As a Senior BIM Technician, you will be responsible for the creation and management of BIM models and production drawings relevant to the civil and structural engineering disciplines. You will apply your extensive knowledge of civil & structural engineering in the digital construction environment, ensuring project deliverables are met with the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Develop advanced BIM models for structural engineering projects, ensuring integration with the overall project BIM model.Provide detailed modelling for structures, foundations, retaining walls, and other civil infrastructure components.Drafting using software such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, REVIT, and CADS RC.Assist engineers/technicians with detailing and sketching.Preparation of Detailed Drawings and Models for Tender and Construction.Take instruction from their Line Manager (and where appropriate the relevant Project Manager and senior members of the project teams).Understanding of interoperability between different software and its impact on workflows.Familiarity with BIM content standards and development, including object-oriented BIM libraries.Qualifications and Skills: Relevant third level qualification is highly desirable.5 to 8 years' experience within the Irish market is preferable.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and ability to generate arrangement coordination drawings from feasibility stage to the detailed construction stage.Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with external partners.In-depth experience with civil/structural BIM software platforms (e.g., Revit Structure, Civil 3D, Dynamo, Navisworks, Tekla, BIM 360, and other relevant software).Proven track record of successful BIM implementation in civil and structural engineering contexts and must be able to demonstrate compliance with quality control.Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage change and encourage team adoption of new technologies.Adept in managing large-scale BIM projects with a thorough understanding of interoperability between software used in civil and structural design.Solid technical grounding in civil and structural engineering principles.How to Apply: If you feel that this opportunity is something you may be interested in and would like an opportunity to discuss the matter further, please forward your c.v. to ******.
