Abbott Diagnostics As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the Diagnostics ("Core Lab") business, and continued commitment to manufacturing at our European sites, we now have an opportunity for a Manufacturing Process Engineer – Moulding, to join our global Division Engineering team, working with our cGMP manufacturing sites and suppliers/partners in Ireland and across Europe.
THE ROLE: Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, HMI, SCADA, Vision.Develop, test, commission & support machine control software.Support our Technical Validation team in creating validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, SDS, FAT, etc).Specification of control system components.Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle.Provide technical direction & support to other controls team members at our manufacturing sites.REQUIREMENTS: PLC & HMI experience essential, preferably with Allen Bradley, Siemens.Expert knowledge of automated machine design, specification & development.Proven experience with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics, etc.Excellent communication skills.Strong organisational skills.A quality-minded outlook and a problem-solving attitude.Needs to work well in a multifunctional team.
