Our client is a leading Irish contractor, recognized for their excellence in electrical, instrumentation, and data network systems. With over 30 years of experience, they have built a prestigious portfolio in sectors including Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, and Government.

About the role: In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical, instrumentation, data network, and ancillary electrical systems projects across a wide range of sectors including Data Centres, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Commercial, Government, and Technology.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical and related systems projects. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create accurate estimates. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure the scope of work is well-defined and meets client expectations. Conduct risk assessments and apply value engineering principles to optimize project costs. Review and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals for accuracy and competitiveness. Monitor project budgets and make recommendations to maintain profitability. Keep up to date with industry trends, material costs, and labor rates. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Qualifications and Experience: A degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction or electrical industry. Proven experience as an estimator in the electrical contracting industry, with a strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and data network systems. Extensive knowledge of HTMI specifications, particularly in healthcare projects. Ability to interpret complex project drawings and specifications. Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
