Senior Policy Specialist, Trust & Safety

We are seeking an outstanding Senior Policy Specialist to join our growing Trust & Safety team.
As a Senior Policy Specialist, you will play a key role in how we define, enforce, and communicate our stance on policy issues that impact users across music, podcasts, and all forms of user-generated content.As a member of the Trust and Safety team, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional efforts to improve policies and enhance products to help protect and safeguard the user experience on Spotify.
You will work with cross-functional teams to align on priorities and deliver innovative solutions to address the emerging issues facing users online.
You are a problem solver who excels in a fast paced environment, can create structure in ambiguous spaces, and can influence teams to drive solutions.
What You'll DoResearch, draft, implement, analyze, and iterate on our policies to ensure that they can be enforced consistently and at scale around the world.Influence the direction of cross-functional stakeholders with regards to policy, enforcement, and product safety efforts.Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to build consensus and drive enforcement initiatives.
Vet and provide feedback on new product features and launches to ensure user safety is being prioritized.Conduct risk assessments and research on key online safety trends and market specific issues.
Lead high-profile and/or time-sensitive investigations into potential policy violations.Collaborate with Operations and Product teams to identify and understand opportunities to improve our policies.Stay abreast of industry trends related to user safety.Who You AreBA/BS degree or similar experience requiredA minimum of 3+ years experience drafting, reviewing, and/or enforcing policies for podcasts, music, video, and/or another other form of online, user-generated content in a global or cross-regional contextAn understanding of the online safety trends and landscape, especially issues related to free-expression and user safety controls.Proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across time-zones.
Can facilitate critical conversations with ease and balance competing priorities.Exceptional communication skills.Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify workflow improvements and turn feedback into action.Excellent program management skills; proven ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously across time-zones.Team player with ability to work autonomously.Self-starter, resilient, and passionate about keeping our community safe.
Previous experience handling complex escalations and communicating with leadership during crisis management situations.Where You'll BeThis position is based in Dublin.
