The Dublin-based team will play a critical role in our continued digital transformation and will function as a center of excellence for SiriusXM's global Product and Technology organization.
SiriusXM's new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics.
Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.
What you'll do: As a member of the software test team at SiriusXM, you will be joining a team of SDET (Software Development Engineers in Test) and Test Engineers responsible for testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended.
This position will be a part of the software development team.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases.
Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.
What you'll need: BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required.
MS Engineering is desired with 3-6+ years' experience with Test Development and Environments.
Experience in Consumer or Automotive Software development and Frameworks.
Experienced in Consumer or Automotive Client Application.
Experienced in Tools for test development.
Experience in test automation.
Application of software development life cycle concept.
Knowledge and application of at least one programming languages.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
Knowledgeable of Object-Oriented Programming concepts History working with automation frameworks creating automated test scripts Tester's Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work Troubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies.
Technical Skills: At least 3-5 years of experience in C/C++ with specific knowledge of C++ 11.
Strong understanding of all test fundamentals, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test management tools, and defect tracking tools.
Experience with Git.
Experienced with Satellite module testing and user interface or communication protocols.
Experience in SiriusXM test automation is a plus.
Experience with Code Coverage tools and procedures is a plus.
