What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? As shipping lead, you will supervise the daily operations of the shipping department and finished goods warehouse, ensuring all goods are stored and shipped efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities: Supervision of shipping team and the finished goods warehouseEnsuring all necessary documentation is prepared in line with country-specific shipping requirementsMaintaining records of all dispatched goodsScheduling of transport for shipmentsEnsuring inventory accuracy in finished goods warehouse and investigating any discrepanciesEnsuring cycle count procedures are followed in line with company policyEnsuring 5S is maintained in the finished goods warehouseImplementation and leadership of process improvement projectsMaintaining relationships with logistics partners to ensure efficient shipping solutionsResolving any shipping-related queries or issuesMaintaining and updating work instructions and SOPs for the shipping departmentQualifications/experience: 3rd Level Degree in Supply Chain, Business Engineering, or similarMinimum of 3 years' experience in a similar rolePrevious experience in warehouse/shipping operationsStrong organisational and communication skillsProficient in the Microsoft Office SuiteSAP experience preferred but not essentialWhat is the leadership like for this role? This role reports to Kevin Walters, our Supply Chain Manager. You will join Kevin's growing team of 10, which includes a Warehouse Lead, Planning Lead, and Customs and Logistics Analyst.
