Job Purpose Team Leaders work as a member of a Residential Team to create a safe and caring environment which meets the individual and group needs of the children who live there. Team Care Leaders must practice in accordance with relevant childcare legislation, national standards and Ashdale Care (Ireland) Ltd Policies and Procedures. About The Role Key Responsibilities: To promote a caring, nurturing environment to best meet the needs of our young people. Participate in all aspects of the RCW role as per job description. Take on the leadership role in role modelling for all staff and young people. Assist the Management Team in promoting positivity and reflective practices, auditing keywork to ensure it's in line with recommendations from placement plan meetings. To assist home management in the inductions of new staff. To assist the home management with overseeing budgets. To assist with Supervision, both formal and informal and weekly check ins with new staff To actively participate in planning and review meetings, representing the home positively and advocating for children and families as needed. To assist in the completion of monthly rota and participate in on-call as per rota. Carry out their duties and responsibilities in compliance with the Health and Safety Policies and Statutory Regulations and adhere to Equality and Good Relations duties. Ensure the ongoing confidence of the public in-service provision. Maintain high standards of personal accountability and confidentiality. To carry out specific mentoring pieces of work under the direction of management. Desired Criteria Required Criteria 3 years relevant experience working with children/young people from challenging backgrounds Successfully completed Key working roles (or equivalent) for a minimum of 6 months Up to date knowledge of legislation surrounding Residential Childcare and Safeguarding Experience of multi-disciplinary working with a range of professionals in the industry Ability to deliver reports and meet deadlines Full driving licence Flexible approach to meet business needs Level 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following: Social Care Social Work Health and Social Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy Youth & Community Teaching Nursing Social Science Addiction Counselling Counselling / Psychotherapy Family Support Disability Studies Applied Behavioural Analysis Early Years Care Closing Date Thursday 31st October, 2024
