We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Worker to join our clients team in Co.Monaghan to provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for empowering individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives, promoting dignity, and ensuring that each person receives the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities: Support individuals with intellectual disabilities in their day-to-day activities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with other professionals and the individuals' families.
Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, social activities, and community integration.
Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals, ensuring that they have a voice in their care and treatment.
Provide emotional and practical support to individuals, encouraging personal growth and confidence.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes dignity, respect, and equality for all service users.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, attending meetings, reviews, and training sessions as required.
Ensure that all services are delivered in line with current legislation, best practice guidelines, and organizational policies.
Requirements: Qualifications: A relevant qualification in Social Care, or a related field (Level 7 or above) Experience: Experience working in the intellectual disability sector.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A person-centered approach with a focus on individual needs.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Other Requirements: Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
