SOCIAL CARE WORKERS Kildare Residential Services Various Contracts We are offering an opportunity to Social Care Workers to join our organisation working with and supporting individuals in their communities in the Kildare Services.

Therefore, we are seeking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic, creative and energetic Social Care Workers to support individuals with an intellectual disability to realise their vision for a 'good life'.
The focus of the role will be to lead initiatives in supporting the individuals to live a life of their choosing and what matters most to them.
The role will support the individuals to become connected and valued within their local community, to provide opportunities for new experiences and to assist each person in developing real and authentic relationships.
The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in supporting individuals to develop valued social roles and also have experience in supporting individuals with communication needs and those who may display behaviours of concern and will have experience of person centred planning and knowledge of person directed and individualised support approaches.

Essential requirements: Relevant recognised Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7 on National Framework of Qualifications Registered with CORU, or have commenced the registration process. Experience of supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism is highly desirable Knowledge of HIQA, Safeguarding and Protection of Vulnerable Adults. A willingness to work alone and be available for day, weekend and 'sleep-over' shifts. A full current driving license. Excellent communication skills. Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage. An interest in promoting positive well-being and a healthy life-style. Experience of working with individuals with behaviours of concern. Excellent organisational, logistical and I.T skills an advantage. Good connections in the local community an advantage. Please note that the successful candidates will be required to be available for any of day, weekend, waking night duty and 'sleep-over / over-night' shifts.
In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents' homes and across a variety of locations.
