We have a senior management team dedicated to assisting you in providing you with anything necessary to do the job Being a company with great personnel resources, we can always help at times when staffing the kitchen is an issue What we need our Sous Chef to do... To lead a kitchen and be passionate about training junior members of team To make sure all food is up to standard in keeping with the set guidelines Ensure kitchen is kept to a high level of cleanliness To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen while coordinating with the front of house team and Head Chef Enforcement of health and safety standards within the kitchen To be able to stand over the quality of every plate of food leaving the kitchen Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen To deputise in the absence of the Head Chef Responsible for maintaining food standards Co-responsibility for maintaining agreed labour & food costs Co-ordinate rosters & stocktakes Manage & control a busy kitchen Menu planning & execution with the Head Chef Constant upkeep of HACCP within kitchen Purchasing & stock control To oversee that food is executed as agreed with Head Chef and Senior Management To attend staff social events To maintain agreed KPI's with the Head Chef To be a brand ambassador and remember your place as a senior manager appearance and insist on the same from junior members of staff What we are looking for in our Sous Chef... To be a leader To be a good role model for all other staff To lead from the front Excellent organisational skills Good ability to handle pressurised situations and busy periods Be flexible and willing to work weekends Excellent interpersonal skills Fluent in English To have a "can do" attitude and be willing to complete any task assigned to you Be willing and able to follow guidance from senior management team Passion for food, passion for management at highest level To be empathetic to our customers and always put customer needs first Good problem solver
