Job Description The Strategic Sourcing Senior Manager at Amgen will lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing activities to achieve company cost savings objectives. You will build and manage relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Develop and manage sourcing strategies and supplier management processes in collaboration with key business stakeholders. Work closely with site Finance, Engineering, Process Development & Manufacturing teams and Global Category Sourcing Managers. Act as a single point of contact for GSS and business partner interaction at the site. Build relationships with Site VP and Leadership team, Finance, and Functional Leads. Support the Global Category Managers with execution of sourcing strategies impacting the site. Drive site productivity and improvement agenda. Manage, minimize, and mitigate supply/contractual/regulatory risk. Preferred Qualifications: Sourcing Experience: Proven knowledge and experience in indirect sourcing, particularly in Capital Engineering, Construction, and Equipment. Experience in delivering projects for a Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology company. Experience collaborating with Project Management, Engineering, and Finance. Solid understanding of procurement/sourcing/category management methodology: Ability to develop and implement successful sourcing strategies. Strong negotiator with the ability to drive value through strategic supplier agreements. Advanced problem-solving & analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct benchmarking to address cost, quality, risk, and innovation considerations. Excellent stakeholder engagement and soft skills: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders.
