PERSON CENTRED WING SUPPORT WORKER KILDARE SERVICES (Kilkenny) The focus of this role will be to support an individual to realise their vision to leading a good life through Person Centred approaches in line with personal interests, skills, will and preference.
Relief (If and When Required) We are looking to recruit a support worker to work in the Kilkenny area.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to support individuals on a 1:1 basis to be more independent in their own homes and to assist them to make connections and develop relationships within their local community.
We are looking for a support worker who is motivated, enthusiastic and creative.
Informal Enquiries to: Caroline Bracken Essential requirements/qualities of applicant are: FETAC/ QQI Level 5 (Major Award) in Healthcare or equivalent (e.g.
Health Service Skills, Healthcare Support) Ability to use own initiative and plan effectively.
Experience of supporting individuals with a broad range of support needs.
A valid licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong initiative and creativity.
Flexibility and willing to undertake roster covering various houses/locations.
Suitability as outlined in the introduction to the role.
Please note that the successful candidates will be required to be available for any of day, weekend or over-night shifts.
In addition, we require staff members to be willing to work alone in the residents homes.
